Intel XScale® PXA270 Development kit / EMBEDDED PC has been designed

for running up-to-date, highly efficient modern embedded network or stand

alone applications. It contains all of the important interfaces and is delivered

with preinstalled LINUX OS. Other OS available form third parties.

The power consumption is just a fraction of the standard PC, making the

embedded system an ideal candidate for mass applications. As the most

demanding parts of the system are located on the module itself, using

Voipac DIMM Module for your own application significantly boosts

reliability and cuts time-to-market of your own embedded device.

For mass applications such as terminals or point of sales, complete

EMBEDDED PC can be supplied in a variety of configurations, which may

differ in processor frequency, SDRAM and FLASH size and amount of

peripheries. CPU, Audio, Ethernet, Mobile-SDRAM and FLASH memory are

located on the 200pin, so called DIMM module (identical with standard

SODIMM memory module) what allows customers to easily interchange

DIMM modules thus adjust processor frequency or memories size, without

the necessity of altering the DIMM Base Board, or customized base board

in any way.

The adapter powered PXA270 EMBEDDED PC/ Development kit is supplied

in a stylish aluminum case that is able to accommodate a standard 2.5” IDE

HDD and via an analog VGA connector provides direct connectivity to a

generic CRT or TFT screens, supporting maximum resolution of 1024x768

pixels / 65536 colors in a 16 bit mode. Outlet of a PCMCIA interface,

MMC/SD card or Compact Flash significantly enlarges the possible usage of

the processor. An AC97 bus, used mainly by audio chip producers or fast

Ethernet can also catch one’s attention.
Besides all the standard PC peripheral interfaces you are used to, the system

provides numerous communication channels as well as universal expansion

slots and connectors.

Support for a nonstandard or customer peripherals can be realized upon

request.
