i.MX25 SODIMM Base Board

This multi-purpose development board has been designed as a carrier board for the cross compatible i.MX25 SODIMM Module, i.MX51 SODIMM Module, and for the high end i.MX53 SODIMM Module.

It is supplied in a stylish Aluminum case, which turns the Base Board with inserted SODIMM Module into a ready-to-use adapter-powered EMBEDDED PC containing all of the standard PC peripherals. For easy debugging and custom interfaces creating, each of the 200 SODIMM Module pins is accessible via four 50-pin Base Board headers.

The board also provides a DVI-I connector which is capable of transmitting either digital or analog video signal. Generic CRT and TFT screens with resolution up to 800x600 pixels are supported for the direct connectivity. The connectivity to the passive and active LCD panels with 4-wire resistive touch screens can be realized via dedicated carrier board header. The keyboard and mouse can be connected through USB connector. The board further includes Audio input and output, reset button, mini USB with OTG functionality, 4 port USB HUB, SD card slot, FM radio, CAN controller, Smart Card Reader and IR sensor. The i.MX25 SODIMM Base Board has on board 5V switching power supply with input voltage ranging from 9V to 30V. Maximum output current of the regulator is 3A thus limiting baseboard, module and all connected peripherals to 15W maximum power consumption. The fanless carrier board also provides configurable switches, buttons, GPIO pins and LEDs for user friendly interaction thus simplifying programming of one's own applications.

To further accelerate your own product development, Voipac can upon request supply you with all of the difficult-to-get components used on its boards, such as the 200pin SO DIMM socket (3D view) or the pitch compression JTAG connector. Both are part of the complete Development kit and can be also purchased at the Voipac Webshop.
