WLAN board development has been a customer-driven project designed according to the client's requirements, who is a Wi-Fi Internet provider in the Czech Republic region. Before the completion of the board development, microPC Boards were used by the customer as small routers from the internal users network to the WLAN network, while other supplier's WLAN access points have been used. Voipac has achieved an integration of the access point and router to one device for a reasonable price. The software is built on the core of Linux 2.6.7 and allows usage of all necessary applications and functions without which the operation of a larger WLAN network could not be safe.
