This multimedia embedded development system based on i.MX535 ARM CortexTM-A8 core, clocked up to 1.2GHz, has been designed to significantly reduce one's own application development time as well as the final device time to market.

Moreover, the i.MX53 SODIMM PC - Development Kit Max is an ideal choice for customers running multiple projects with different hardware requirements, as the i.MX53 SODIMM Module supplied with the development kit can easily be replaced by other two cross-compatible COMs, the i.MX51 SODIMM Module or i.MX25 SODIMM Module, representing a possibility of getting economic system out of powerful one.

Among the most significant attributes of the i.MX53 platform is low power drain with excellent MIPS/mW performance enabling usage in a battery-operated devices, high CPU performance, plenty of available interfaces, glueless connectivity to numerous DVI-I video devices, and variable sets of LCDs with touch screens. Besides all the standard PC peripheral interfaces, the system provides multiple communication channels as well as universal expansion slots and connectors.

To make the custom baseboard design even easier, Voipac provides the schematic of the i.MX53 SODIMM Module and the complete Altium Designer project of the i.MX25 SODIMM Base Board.

The module comes with a preinstalled OS based on Linux kernel 3.12.13 and GNU utilities. Support for Android, Windows Embedded Compact 7 and other operating systems is also available.
